For all you digital visual artists out there, what applications do you use most, and do you use a drawing tablet like a Wacom?

I use Adobe Illustrator and Maxon Z-Brush the most and I use a Wacom Intuos Pro tablet.

I don't do much 2D art, but when I do, I mostly use Gimp. It's a free alternative to Photoshop. I've also used Inkscape once or twice for vector art.

I'd really like to learn how to use Blender's 2D grease pencil, but it's still very mysterious to me, and it'll probably take a while to develop the muscle memory given Blender's heavy reliance on hotkeys.

Not an artist but i do want to throw out the honorable mention to krita. org which is a free program any aspiring artist can download. Its specifically made for digitial art.
