No, it's possible The Beatles were the first boy band but, there were The Crickets and other bands before them.
Yes, the Jacksons were all family. They even tried to get their two sisters into the act and, their dad was an asshole towards them all, as a manager.
The Cowsills were the same way. A family band with dad as the manager that really fucked them over. The Beach Boys were the same way except that only 2 or 3 of them were brothers and one was their cousin. Their dad fucked them over, too.
The there's The Shaggs. Dad suddenly decided one day that his 3 girls were gonna be in a rock band together. He bought them their instruments and had them get on with it. Only problem was, they didn't want to be in a band and had NO musical talent AT ALL!! Dad recorded them and had an album pressed. The most awful "music" you've ever heard!! Most fans of atonal music love it! I'm not one of those. Captain Beefheart, I can deal with because I KNOW that he wrote it specifically to sound that way and it's very impressive that those guys could even come CLOSE to playing that stuff!!

Yes, they were all brothers. They might be the first boy band. Maybe the BeeGees were. They really started performing in the 60s.
