With the caveat that I haven't read the books, I liked it.
The main thing I don't care for with the Dune movies is that they're really just one movie broken into two halves (setup and payoff) so individually, they're lackluster while together they're a complete 5+ hour movie.

I read the books ages ago.
"Dune" is a story that does not fit to a restricted screen.
So I don't feel tempted for one other movie adaption of something that is greater than movies :)

I did like it. I found the pacing a little fast for my tastes though, and some things weren't explained, but it was a lot of fun and I'll definitely watch the third if they make one.

the movie... is nice... but it doesn't reflect the book's message and atmosphere...

No way am I going to spend 3 hours in a cinema seat. John Wick 4 is the only exception to that. I'm a fan of the original Dune films so I'll watch it at home

Not really. But I'm old enough to remember the original Dune. This one was so boring I kept looking at the time wonder how much this had left. That's typically a bad sign.
