What do you think of France's performance at Eurovision?

Honestly, I don't know why we didn't win.

I'm not just saying that because I'm French. France usually performs extremely badly at Eurovision.

I had to watch the music video version, 'cuz that version is blocked in my country. I'm not particularly fond of that style of music and his singing and melody is all over the place. I felt it had a lot of clichés, and he's no Jean Jacques Goldman or Joe Dassain, but it's alright. For some reason it sounded better than the first time I heard it, but I don't like the part where he sings fast and I wish the melody was more consistent and it had more instruments. His voice also kind of doesn't match his face. I won't be adding it to my Playlist, but it's still better than the other entries, which were practically garbage, aside from Armenia's, which was the only other one that actuallt represented the country properly. I'm not surprised he didn't win. The people who vote/judge in those things have poor taste in music. I know they only voted for the Swiss guy because he's a f*****.

How can an entire country win or lose, when only one (or a few) 'performers' are yowling along on a media spectacle?

The entire idea of a ''music contest'' is absurd to me. Just play it, and like it (or not :) )

But honestly, in terms of vocal performance, it was a great one. Did you see the winner's performance? No kidding

The winner probably won be cause he wore a skirt and a flouncy shirt rather than for his music.

I did like the sound of the song about the dead girl but not the sound of this one. Of course I am missing a lot not understanding French.

I am still trying to figure out why Australia had an entry and how a such a crap song was chosen.

With respect to Australia's choice of song and singer, that was the pick of a left wing gov't media organizaton. I am only surprised it wasn't worse.
