Daniel Craig

As a bit of a 007 aficionado I feel like this discussion could go on for some time.
Connery certainly is “the” Bond to many people and he set the role and established a persona. He had the arrogance and self assuredness.
I think George Lazenby was undervalued and better than he gets credit for. Roger Moore was the Bond I grew up with so I kind of developed my perceptions of the character from him. His swagger was quite a part of his image.
Timothy Dalton was a good Bond but my least favorite of them all. He just never seemed to make the role “his”. Pierce Brosnan was simply born for the 007 spot but got saddled with some bad writing and a slow but steady decline in the plot lines. I think he carried the tiles on his weight alone because the moves were losing staying power.
Daniel Craig, perhaps the most controversial Bond of all was a hard reset and arguably saved the franchise. He sort of took Bond back to his roots even if there was some twists and turns along the way that seemed to deviate from the path Ian Fleming would’ve set out for him. Then again, I suppose we have to evolve at least a little bit.
In the end I liked the roles as played by Connery & Craig the most. Each for different reasons.
Peirce Brosnan

He was in almost all the good James Bond games and in the movies growing up, so thats James Bond to me.
Sean Connery will always be the very best James Bond... His voice, body and eyes, simple do it for me.

I agree with Andreas. Craig comes across more like how I perceive Bond in the novels: loyal to the Crown but more of a blunt instrument than a club member, more Red Grant's opposite.
For me, humor is an essential component of Bond movies. Connery is funny. Craig doesn't do funny. It's as if they're in different franchises.
Thinking that a ''James Bond'' figure is actually a government authorized murderer, I am surprised about myself that I'd prefer Craig.
Perhaps, because he appears to me more savage (and suitable) for this function?
Sean was just good at acting, he looked like an out of shape middle aged guy not like a Top secret agent in M16
Sean Connery by a longshot. Daniel Craig was the worst Bond in my opinion
I preferred Connery. He was more like Bond is in the books, i. e. a huge jerk. Craig was designed for "modern audiences" (gay).
Sean Connery was the best
