It takes me 3-4 minutes, but I've never trained to do speed runs. I also sometimes get the last pattern wrong so it may take a couple of tries to get the last 4 pieces in place. I learned this when I was 11, and as of about 6 years ago, I could still do it, though it's not something I do very often.
I can't. Me and my aunt once worked on one for 4 hours and couldn't solve it.
Yeah, I started peeling the stickers off one before to rearrange then, and I thought my classmates were gonna beat me up. It's shocking how seriously some people take this stuff.
If you really want to make people angry, peel off and swap any two different color stickers... makes the puzzle impossible to solve.
I should try that, but I'll have to do a few, because otherwise they'll notice if there's one random square that's a different color, when everything else matches up
First, I'd take several seconds to inspect each & every side to picture what I intend to do.
Then, give me a several minutes and "Voila!"
Sub 45 seconds but my brothers can do sub 20

With a bit of study, I could probably get back to about 3.5 - 4 minutes. I've forgotten the ending algorithms. I had to try to learn speed solving just in case, but I could never get to under 3 minutes, which is ridiculously slow, with speed solvers.
I knew a 12 year old (who went to the special private schools) who could do it in less than a minute, often within 40-45 seconds. The kid was brilliant.
Those who do it fast, do it mechanically, and by mechanical memory - not with intelligence.
(Exceptions are possible)
Myself - I can get 3 sides right (well... that's 50% smart, isn't it) and after that I usually find something smarter to do with my time.
Yes like i can get 2-3 sides but struggle getting all 4
@DizzyDesii there are 6, and just because the colors are all the same on a side doesn't mean it's right
@MarkyMark2006 oh shit π€£
@DizzyDesii I know that sounds obvious, but if you think about it, each little cube (27 of them if you count the core) has a specific position. 7 (each center and the core) are actually stationary and act as axis.
This would mean (referencing the picture) the orange-white-green block would not be in the correct position if you moved it 1 turn clockwise on the yellow axis, but instead it has to be moved 1 turn counter clockwise on the yellow axis to align the orange side and then 2 turns counter clockwise on the orange axis to align the white and green sides.
You have to think 3 dimensionally
@MarkyMark2006 --- Mark, you will be technically right here. But then... mixing up ''colours'' can be one other exciting detail in life :D
@DizzyDesii - Dizzy, let's think about all the guys that can't even get one side right :D - after all: a Rubik's Cube still isn't a requirement for a happy life. Heh heh
Every real person that I know anyhow that can do it really quickly is a bit of a nutter , so its not something I've ever tried , but I'm told if you know the formula , its actually not that difficult.
correct
I have actually never tried one...
don't know about techniques either, so I am sure it could take a while
I can solve it but shit i need at least an hour lol. My mom and grandpa do it in like 10 mins
Certainly I would take longer than 0.3 seconds, but I could also provide entertaining conversation in the meanwhile.
Takes me a few minutes.
And I should note that I have a strict policy of NOT playing games by the rules. So when I solve a Rubiks Cube, I usually do it with a screwdriver by prying the pieces out and putting them back in where I want them.
Exitus Acta Probat.
Not fast at all. My dad wad very mad at me as a child when I moved the stickers. 😂🙈
you don't have to peel the stickers, you can just pop the corner out.
It depends on how tight the pieces are held together :D
Joking aside Tom, I can complete it, or at least I use to be able to. The trick is to pick one face, then the corners and middles to that face. That gives you, if you aim the one side which is complete towards the ceiling and spin it all the way around a line of each colour.
Then you have to do a line down. All that is left then is the bottom face and surrounding line. There is a technique which can take me anything to about 20 minutes which I developed from messing about with it to complete it from there.
I also had a dodecahedron puzzle which I never could complete.. I gave that away
Never done one but I probably wouldn't finish it.
I've never tried one but as I understand it you just follow a set of rules to solve it
My clock is still ticking, I've solved half a Rubik's cube tho
I take it apart like an OG and get it back together within 2 minutes.
usualy 5 minutes i broke my record twice 4 minutes and once a lucky mix in 2 minutes. most times i need 5 minutes.
the robots just go straight to it. no foreplay. where's the fun in that? :o
I canβt be solved. Unless you spend a lot of time on it
Around 34,000 years...
fast as i can paint it
I am still working on it. I got it in 1991
Hahaha!
Longer than.305 of a second !!! (And we wonder why robots will soon run the world !!!)
It would take me about ten years.
I never did. thanks for reminding me!
Literally never.
if i dont make a mistake, it won't take more than five minutes
I've never been able to solve it 🥲
start any one side, for example yellow.
when familar with practicing, do yellow WITH edge matching sides yellow red on ref center.
when that is familiar do opposite sides yellow n white. that is enough for skill and thinking exercise.
Okay thanks
You can time me with a calender
I used to be able to solve it in about 2 mins
I have yet to solve one. I lose interest before I figure it out.
about 1.5 minutes.
6 minutes I think
I've never tried.
Less than a minute. It's a time puzzle.
Simple not time. Damn auto incorrect
1 minute
I never could.
I gave up.
