Did you know that Donald Sutherland passed away today?

I knew him from Buffy The Vampire Slayer the movie and of course the Hunger Games. He was a phenomenal actor.

I heard it today.
I first remember him in The Dirty Dozen and Kelly's Heroes. Then, Mash, of course.
He was a real character. He could play the best goof ball ever. But he was also very versatile.

One sweet movie was The Leisure Seeker where he co-stared with Helen Mirrin.
But I've seen him in lots of films.

I'm really sad to hear of his passing. I always liked his persona.

Well I cannot say there was a role of his I did not enjoy... I particularly enjoyed him in MASH and The Italian Job... but his role as a hippy Tank Commander in Kelly's Heros was inspired. I think he stole the movie. A true artist.

My Wife heard the sad news on the radio yesterday. He has been a favourite actor of mine for many years.
My favourite movie he's been in.. hmm there are just so many...
I think Outbreak with Dustin Hoffman is one of my favourite movies, although he has given so many great performances in lots of others.

He was SO good in so many movies, I can't name just one. He was terrifying in "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", awesome in M*A*S*H, and if you've never seen "Don't Look Now", you should. He won two Golden Globes, but he's probably the best actor EVER to not receive a single Academy Award Nomination in his illustrious career. You'll be missed, D. S.

Hewas 88 when he passed away, it seemed like he acted in films right up to he death and he was an incredible actor I hated him in hunger games but thar was exactly the role he was playing you were supposed to hate him and how he acted as a cruel taskmaster.

I liked several of his movies including The Great Train Robbery and Eye of the Needle.

He was a great character and had some fairly iconic roles. Mash and Kelly’s heroes are great examples of him taking on a character.

Sad that he was never nominated for an Academy Award, despite all of the significant roles he played. He did receive an Oscar for Lifetime Achievement though. May he rest in peace.

One of the best. I really liked “Alone” and “Dawn Rider”. He made well over 100 movies throughout his career.
