What's your all-time favorite blockbuster movie?

In looking at the summer movies that have been coming out this year, it seems the slated blockbusters fall short of the movies we used to look forward to.

What's your all-time favorite blockbuster film?

“Deadpool and Wolverine” was good.
I luv movies too much to nail down a single all-time favorite anything. I also don’t remember exactly when certain movies came out. So what i consider a blockbuster may not have been a summer blockbuster.
Movies like “The Matrix” and “Back to the Future” come to mind. I think “Home Alone” was a blockbuster and i’m pretty sure it came out near Christmastime. Someone else mentioned “Titanic”. I’m pretty sure that came out in December too.


Streaming has changed the course of theater releases dramatically. We may never see another proper “blockbuster” because of the number of people who will just wait to watch at home. The quality of streaming releases is going up, and studios are reluctant to invest as much money into theater releases that might not hit projected returns in the theaters. It shows in the quality of movies coming out, particularly theater exclusive releases.
I have always luv’d movies. I used to say that i enjoyed home video as much as the theater experience, but the pandemic lockdowns changed my mind about that. I missed movie theater movies a lot! I started going to see the old movies returning to theaters as soon as i could. One good thing about my new location was the prevalence of drive-ins. I saw everything i could that way too.
Theaters are closing down and many others are in financial distress. I go to a small local theater with lousy popcorn, antiquated seating and mediocre projection quality just hoping they won’t go out of business! Ell oh ell!
I dunno if movie theaters will ever completely disappear. I sure hope not; at least not in my lifetime.

It's hard for me. It might actually be the gran turismo movie. Not because the writing was so much better than any other movie it just really connected with me and I related to the message a lot.

I actually got all teary potato eyed inn there a couple times.

It's the one for me that has everything. Great acting, Great Music Score, Great Storyline (even though I confess I didn't understand it all first time I saw it)

Nick Cage is great. I was just saying the other day, I'd love to see him do anything. He's got that pince-sans-rire thing going on and, coupled with the huge eyes it just adds to the humor of the situations in which he finds himself.

Yes, my respect for him as an actor has really grown over the years. He's a very versatile and is very good at playing a lot of different roles.

Avatar, Inception, Interstellar, Tomorrowland, wall street.
