What's your all time favorite movie?

I have many, but one of them is "Kalifornia" , 1st time i watched it back in 1996, i was like 10 or 11 y. o, the movie was made in 1993, from the first time i watched it, i became attached to it for unknown reasons, i liked the characters of "Early" (Brad Pitt) & "Adele" (Juliette Lewis), the English accent spoken by Early & Adele...

Kept watching it every decade like once or twice and the last time i watched it was yesterday night, still makes me feel like i'm watching it for the 1st time 😄

I always wonder if such girls like "Adele" really exists, a kind girl, maybe a little dumb 🤣, acts like a baby but she's amazing...

About "Early" a cold blooded lunatic criminal with unknown reasons about what made him become such a monster...

Thank you all for sharing, it seems that some movies are really iconic!

Each person have a different list of movies but what caught my eyes is that the majority of these lists shares the name of some of the same movies such as "Rambo" which makes such movies iconic and do not fade with time!

Shawshank redemption, good will hunting , back to the future 1 & 2 , stand by me , the breakfast club , Trainspotting , clockwork orange , one flew over the cuckoo’s nest , the crow , Alien & Aliens , A few good men , terminator 2 , Léon , the usual suspects , saving private ryan , it’s a wonderful life , fight club , eternal sunshine of the spotless mind , falling down , blade runner , parasite , goodfella’s , Scarface , pulp fiction and jaws …. Phew 😮‍💨

None of these are engraved in stone. Just off the top of my head. I luv movies. Like you, i have lots of favorites. I find it easier to pick favorites by genre. Even then, choosing a single favorite per genre is tough. I like a lot of genre benders, Like “Aliens” is definitely scifi but widely considered horror. “Back to the Future” is definitely comedic. Most people probably consider “Rocky” a sports movie. Also, i went back and forth between “Miracle” and “The Mighty Ducks” for sports flick.
I could talk movies all day.

What's bad about the aliens and predators sequels and prequels is that all their movies do not start when the previous one ends, it's like each movie is not related to the other while some others are but it takes some analysis to know what happened, than comes prometheus which mentions that the architects who created the human species are the ones who created the aliens "xenomorphs" than comes the predators, it's all one hell of a crazy twist 🤪

Actually, that’s kind of what i like about them. Every storyline has to end. Look at how the MCU boomed, but now it’s floundering. The Predators movies in particular, but the later Aliens movies too feel more like fan fiction. Everyone has their own take. It’s all interesting and none of it relies on previous storylines for success, or failure. And with all the armchair critics busting up movies that make continuity errors, that’s one critical flaw easily avoided.
As soon as they showed me the canine xenomorph in “Alien 3”, i knew there was endless potential for the franchise. Then they gave me a “predalien”? “Thank you, sir! May i have another?” Ell oh ell!

Indeed, but what happens when a storyline is finally completely finished? When the franchise is popular, you get reboots and remakes. The vast majority of which pale in comparison and leave true fans disappointed and wanting. Like i said, “MCU”. I guarantee that’s what will happen with any franchise that can’t let go of its “meta” arc. Aliens & Predator were around before, and they’ll outlive them too. Mostly because the franchise remains open to the flexibility of creativity. At least for now. It will be interesting to see how territorial Scott & Cameron will be over future installments. You can bet i’ll be there to watch, no matter what!

I have so many it's hard to pin down. It's easier to think of movies I could never get tired of. The Horse Whisperer, Murphys Romance, First Indiana Jones Movies. Clear and present Danger, Patriot games, The Client, The Pelican brief, US Marshalls, The Fugitive.. so many more than just one. On and on.

I am hooked on Interstellar.. Everything about it from the Musical talent of Hans Zimmer, to the Direction of Christopher Nolan.

The story, if a little difficult for some to get their heads around is worth applying full concentration to, and the acting is top notch. Also a real surprise cameo performance by a very well known actor that I won't spoil for anyone who has yet to see it!

I call this a MUST for anyone who is in to Sci-fi !

I got so much I want to say about captivating Igrayne was to me when I was a boy but I can only resort to cheesy cliches.

But I think it's beautiful -- this that a woman can captivate men just through movement -- without wearing thongs and whatnot. There is a more active communication than the passive of just flashing everything. It's more beautiful to me that way.

The film is strongly based on collections of the Arthurian legends and a bit disjointed that way. And some people get turned off by the melodramatic acting. But for me, each scene is a metaphor. It's saying something more than what it actually says, and it's just gorgeous. It's just such a pretty film.

I think my parents messed me up letting me watch it so young. I think I was 7 when I first watched it. But I'm traumatized now, for better or worse. It is such an integral part of how I imagine and dream of things that could be.
