This may be tougher for some than for others, but i believe everyone who believes in love has a favorite song, poem, movie or story that connects them to their fantasy of perfect or ideal love. So what is your favorite love song?

It's a toss up. I especially like "Iris". Because it's more of a realistic love song. In City of Angels Nicky Cage's character is an angel that falls in love with Meg Ryan's character and give up eternity as an angel to live 1 mortal life with her. And then she's tragically killed in a car accident.
And that's about par for life. Not that the woman you dies. But love almost NEVER works out for whatever reason. 😆
How much did the storylines of the movies with which those songs are associated effect your affinity for the songs themselves? Both are obviously great songs, but a good love story will definitely compound the value of a song.
Well both songs came out in the late 90's. I was in my early 20's, still learning about love. I don't think I had the deeper appreciation I have now. I believed in love conquering all back then. Now I'm more realistic. I love the feelings, the nostalgia of past loves those songs invoke. That's what those songs are to me. I mean think about most songs when you think about it transport you instantly back to a time.
Agreed. I’m more of a movie person though, so i often use movies to the same nostalgic effect. I’ve probably watched “Goonies” eleventy bajillion times. Ell oh ell!
I was not familiar with him but this song stopped me in my tracks. I was at a wedding a couple of years ago and I got the band to play this and I danced with my wife.
