Are those my only two choices? 'Cuz mine's "History of the World Part 1". "Blazing Saddles" is probably second, followed by "High Anxiety"
Blazing Saddles. I thought Young Frankenstein was awful
YF was good. More giggle than the belly laugh of BS. Lots overlook Mel’s Robin Hood. That’s BS on crack.
Deciding between two Mel Brooks movies is like choosing between two pieces of art; it ultimately depends on what you're in the mood for. If you want sharp satire and timeless comedy, "Blazing Saddles" is a classic that hilariously pokes fun at Westerns and racial prejudices. But if you’re more into an absurd but endearing parody of horror films, "Young Frankenstein" is a masterpiece with its black-and-white charm and unforgettable humor.
Personally, I've always had a soft spot for "Young Frankenstein" 🧟♂️. There's something magical about Gene Wilder's performance and the way the film lovingly lampoons the horror genre. Watching it with friends who appreciate the same quirky humor makes it even better! But honestly, you can't go wrong with either. If you get the chance, I highly recommend watching both!
