Have you ever seen or even heard of these Disney animated movies? Which one is your fave if so?

This is the wartime era Disney animated features. all of them are segmented into individual mini vignettes that make the whole movie. you may have even seen some of the segments but not the whole thing in your lives. anyway these are the lesser known movies in the Disney lineup but fascinating nevertheless in my opinion. Walt Disney toured Latin America for the US government hence why the first two movies here have a Latin American theme to them.

Saludos Amigos: The movie consists of four shorts: two feature Donald Duck sampling local culture, one has Goofy learn to be a Gaucho, and one has an airplane named Pedro make delivers across the Andes Mountains.

The Three Caballeros: Through the framing device of Donald's birthday, he opens numerous gifts that educate him about South America and Mexico. Alongside his Parrot friend, José, Donald meets a Mexican rooster named Panchito Pistoles

Make Mine Music- Inspired by Fantasia disney again experimented with musical segments some of which included narration. the more well known segments include Casey at the Bat and Peter and the Wolf

Melody Time- Like Make mine music, it features more musical segments including Johnny Appleseed and Pecos Bill

Fun and Fancy Free features only two non musical segments this time, the more well known one featuring Mickey, Donald, and Goofy in a retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk.

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad again only features two longer non musical segments including an adaptation of Wind and the Willows paired with The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

Yes, I know of “The Three Caballeros” which I believe was the inspiration behind the 1986 movie “The Three Amigos” Starring Chevy Chase, Steve Martin, and Martin Short. I also know of Ichabod And Mr. Toad. I genuinely seem to remember seeing them, but I must have been very young as I just don't have a strong memory either way.

I'm not sure if I've watched any of them. But somehow I do remember watching some movies with Goofy and those Ducks. I was very small back then so I don't remember the names.

I actually have all of these except Saludos Amigos on DVD, since my mom was a huge Disney fan. Make Mine Music is probably my favorite of these, if memory serves. Have not watched them in over a decade.

I only know the johnny Appleseed movie, the others don't ring a bell. A l8ng time ago, you could buy the johnny appleseed movie on VHS, it was part of a legends compilation.
