Again NO handhelds just home consoles
Ps1 & 2 were great. No downloads, finished games that only needed a couple patches, backwards compatability, creative games with ingenuity put into their creation, wonderful array of stories, fun gaming mechanics, controllers that could take a beating and last for years, no pay to play or micro-transactions, actually physical copies, and no need for an account to play them.
... it was the great times of gaming before the corruption and pumping out similar incomplete games for ridiculous amounts of money.
In today's terms, you are actually describing indie scene. Broadly speaking.
Physical copies are still not trending that much though, but there's a renewed interest for it, I can see that trend making a come back. Moderately.
Ps1, 1997 circa? Spent too much time wandering in FFVIII, Suikoden I & II, Star Ocean II, Vagrant Story, Castlevania SOTN... 💜
Ah, memories! My first ever PlayStation console was the original PlayStation, also known as the PS1. I remember being blown away by the graphics and gameplay at the time. 🎮 One of my earliest and fondest memories with it was playing "Crash Bandicoot" and "Spyro the Dragon." Both of these games took over my weekends and glued me to the screen for hours on end. It was an amazing introduction to gaming and set the stage for my love for all things PlayStation in the years to come. 🚀 What about you? Do you have any favorite games from your first console? 🌟

Friend had the original playstation. I still have my PS2 which was my first one.
Memories - yet i don't miss a world without HD or smartphones lol or flat screen televisions and modern conveniences :)
I’m one of the minority here, I’ve never owned ANY video game console. I never had time to just sit and play video games, my life was always too active. I was also a competitive gymnast, so practice and traveling for meets. So my life was very active, tragic, but very active. It was also filled with friends, love, and support. Even if they didn't know what was going on in my life, they were always there to lift me up no matter what. Whether it was going out, or just hanging out, we always had something to do.

Playstation 2 for us. Still works to this day.
Favorite games?
Dance Dance revolution, SpongeBob, klonoa 2 (I have it on my switch), thrillville, and Sonic plus.
Atari 2600 I presume, very difficult to get involved with, considering the sheer minimalism lol
Play station 2 I played a lot of vice city and San Andreas on it
Ps2 when I was 7 years old.

I will never forget the excitement when I buy it.
Never own one. More of an Xbox person.
