Disneyland rolls out $400 one-day add-on to let visitors skip lines. Are they kidding?
Oh, but I present to you Disney Club 33. Membership to said club costs (clutch your pearls) $35,000 to join after being on a waitlist for roughly 10-15 years, and then after that, it's $15,000 annually. The ship has sailed on what people are willing to pay to get Disney perks. The average family of 4 isn't going to be able to pay $400/ticket to skip the line, but they aren't catering to the average family because if they did and set it at some reasonable lower price, everyone could get it, and it would defeat the purpose of exclusivity and getting the advantage over the other peasants waiting in those long hot lines. People who visit the park maybe once a year, may be willing to fork over that cash just to get the ultimate experience, or the once in a lifetime trip for the foreigner coming to Disney who may never come back.

What happens when everyone buys the $400 line ship tickets? It's pure greed. I can't wait until my youngest is old enough to go though, I don't want to be one of these adult couples in Disney land.

Like anything it only works if people continue to pay.

And it will get more expensive. I remember a while ago in the UK Taylor swift tickets were going for £2000 each. That's crazy, for 3 hours. That's car insurance money for a year £100 maybe

Is that flat or is it per ticket? If it’s flat, I’d think you’d need to be more aggressively priced. $400 isn’t THAT much money, and certainly not that much relative to the ticket prices on their own, if they’re in the ballpark of what I think I heard.
Isn’t it like $1,200 a ticket or something? Just going off hearsay, I have no clue. So if you’re $3,600 in the hole already, might as well make it the full four-grand, haha. PER TICKET? That’s a little different, that’s big ballers only.
It’d be funny if it was just a flat $400 extra for your group and everyone half the people paid for it so you end waiting in lines anyway lmfao

Disregard all that, just looked it up, I apparently was misinformed or misunderstood something. Maybe someone had to pay like $1,200 for their whole family or something.
If it’s just $100-200 per ticket, then you’re paying a lot more. I went to Disney World in like ‘88 or ‘89, I remember waiting a long time for a few of the big rides. I guess it still depends if it’s per group or per ticket, but that’s pretty steep just to ride a log flume and take a picture with Donald Duck, lmao - 9 mo
Oof. Yeah, that’s a little much. I didn’t really grow up on Disney, it was still a pay channel, and most of the movies seemed aimed towards girls, so I never got into it. I was strictly GI Joe, He-Man, The Goonies, Karate Kid, and Indiana Jones when I was a kid. I’m still not sure I’ve seen a Disney movie besides The Mighty Ducks movies. I think Flight Of The Navigator might’ve been Disney.
But the Disney cartoons are an enormous gap in my pop culture knowledge, so Disney World/Land really has nothing drawing me in the first place. - 8 mo
Part of me wants to see it again now that I’m grown up…but I don’t want to be around that many kids, and I’m even less stoked to be around “Disney Adults”😂

I guess it's a good thing I never went to Disneyland or any of those places. It never seemed all that great to me anyway.
As a kid my parents did take me to Universal Studios, including Island of Adventures, and even Halloween Horror Nights, and it was fun at first but got boring pretty quick. So overall, not that great. I glad I had the experience I guess but it wasn't really worth it overall.
Theme parks in general are kind of tough because of all the lines and all the walking. Not to mention the hot and humid weather, at least where I live. And worst of all, obviously, the prices!

More money in their pockets, it is a free market after all coming from a full pure blooded American Capitalist like myself.
If you don’t like it…. Tough crap, right?
Billionaires, Millionaires, and such are self made hard working honest living individuals who wouldn’t sell your soul for a quick buck right? Hell naw, don’t trip you delulu scum.10 Reply 5.8K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. The peasants have to wait in line over 2 hours to get on a ten minute ride. I imagine that if you have 2 or 3 kids they would get pretty cranky by then. According to my kids they were the only ones in rhe school that didn't go to Disney world. My youngest went last year. He is 23. He hated it.
I used to say that I hated lines and hated kids so I would never want to spend thousands if dollars to go there.
10 ReplyThe entire thing is an absolute rip - off , if someone is stupid enough to pay $400 to skip lines , well that are just contributing and showing their own lack of intelligence.
I dont think its good PR , so depends how many tickets they can sell.

This will certainly help keep down the American minority attendance, but help drive up the wealthy foreigner attendance.
I am reminded of this Eric Cartman classic...

I'm glad I went to Disneyland and Disney World with my kids many years ago, when they were much younger, it didn't cost 6 months pay to spend a week there, and lines weren't too bad.

You get to do that if you are on a guided tour with a Disneyland Ambassador. They pay for that tour so get certain perks, like line skipping.

This is ridiculous. I know some parks such as Alton Towers have you paying 50 - 100 for fast track however the idea of almost paying half a grand just to skip queues is insane. If people want to pay for it they can but everything at disney is expensive
00 Reply 505 opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. Disney has been infected with the Woke Mind Virus and it has been killing every line of business they have. This cash grab is just their latest attempt at a quick fix that will have long-term consequences.

We went to Disney this past July. We paid the extra fee, it's expensive but extremely worthwhile. When you are on holidays everything costs extra. Enjoy 🇨🇦😎

Yeah, but it’s a limited amount of tickets per day for that so I guess if you’re rich and get them early enough you can skip the lines. Money talks

What about the line of people who bought the $400 add-on? How do you skip that line?
11 Reply - 9 mo
Some will pay it, I'm sure. I was there decades ago, when there were "A, B, C and D" rides- way before it became wokeland.
