What is Something that people romanticize but it’s actually horrible?

Honestly for me it’s working from home, I’ve done it and it sounds great on paper but in theory is not as glorious.

I agree. For me it's about contrasts. For instance you enjoy resting or doing nothing after you have been really busy. Otherwise doing nothing is boring.

Working from home stops you enjoying being home. Enjoying that "ah finally it's my days off" because work and home blend.

And as covid proved... real human contact is so important.

Worse days of my life were being a stay at home mum. I love seeing work colleagues and clients. Even if I do still get that ugh feeling or moan about it. You need the contrast!

I would have to disagree, I prefer working from home. I don't romanticize it though, I am aware it has its own challenges, but I prefer it.

As to mentioning one thing people romanticize that I don't really like is "fancy dining".

being able to work from home it is amazing

it gives me a lot more time to have with my friends, my family, my hobbies and I can even manage to work on other two occupations

I also need to do less, which gives a lot of chance for my coworkers to do more, and learn more... and therefore earn more

but no, I do not romanticize it... lol

Working from home is lovely, but I keep to set hours. Working from the office is no replacement, and it causes stress and anxiety.

However, to answer your question, I'd say that politics and international diplomacy aren't all they're cracked up to be. Politicians just screw us all over big time, and diplomacy often involves making deals with the devil, and cosying up to all sorts of nasty characters.
