    I much prefer books.
I rarely play board games, but they can be a fun source of entertainment.

I read books all the time, though. I read them for education. I might read an occasional novel for fun, and I listen to books on CD novels. But I mostly read academic books on history or biography. Such books are way more informative than articles, podcasts, documentaries or news.

A good book. Anytime. Although time isn't always available to sit down and really enjoy a good read.

I have so many unread books that they will last me until I retire.

  • Both are enjoyable, but I have a special place for reading books, especially audiobooks. They offer immersive storytelling and let me dive into different worlds and perspectives. Plus, they fuel my creativity, which helps in my art. 🎨 However, playing a board game can be a fantastic bonding experience with family or friends! What a delightful dilemma! 📚🎲

Play a board game. I struggle with reading books these days, my attention span is too short.

since I would be reading a book on my own... but playing board games with friends or friends... most of the time I would prefer the second, in good and great company, that sounds better... but I guess it could be about the mood in the moment too

I think most books are hollow sources of entertainment same as games

People like to pretend that just because they’re reading a book they’re somehow learning something they couldn’t learn elsewhere

    It’s wrong

Some books are amazing and worth the read but if I had to chose I would go for a good board game that requires some engaging of the neurons

Depends on the game and the company. I used to love them, but lately I have little patience for them, probably for the same reason I was never interested in RPGs. I would rather play a card game (or if there are just two, then backgammon or chess). "Let's play pretend" doesn't do much for me, unless we're having sex.

Board game. I HATE reading, lmao. I just read a 240 page book, took me like 6 weeks, lmfao. Reading is very inefficient for me. Takes forever and a conjure no mental image, so they’re pretty pointless unless they’re instructional.

I'd rather play board games like Catan, Stratego, Armadora, Clue, Clash of the Cards, Clue, Battleship, UNO, Hero Quest, Scrimmish, Zombicide, etc. There are so many awesome board games that I have.

I want you to invent interactive movies. We should have a say in what happens. Why is that girl falling down every 7 seconds? The monster never falls down! Monsters can run like the wind! Sally tripped on a blade of grass. And she did it 38 times!
Would you prefer to read a book or play a board game?

In our movies, the monster will be the one running!

Unless it is chess against a somewhat challenging opponent (Botez-level, not someone like Hikaru or Magnus, either of whom would stomp me blindfolded), then read a book.

So many board games lately are just excused to make money. With the exception of Scrabble and possibly Monopoly, I'll read.
