I know about these girls a decade ago, a long decade or perhaps more... and I would listen to one of their old covers over these long years, and I knew they were doing more and more but, for whatever reason I did not keep updated on the "more"
so, it was only till this year that I finally checked their nowadays... barely 20's and already playing worldwide... writing/and composing their own lyrics/music... playing (of course) their own instruments and actually live live too... and they all make it seem like it's done with such ease... now, whoever actually KNOWS music, would know that to achieve this level of performance, LIVE... is definitely not an easy feat at all, so... here's the trio
lmao at let me...
I still find a favorite one from time to time, lol
lmfao...
Choke
This is by a local (for me), artist who has written music for many artist like Tim McGraw , Reba McIntyre, Carrie Underwood and others. This is a new release which is more pop than her usual offerings. This is a live performance of her new song "Happy Children"
https://www.youtube.com/embed/xN9rZSKKi3Q @7Phoenix7 This guy is another local artist. He is turning 80 and he has been performing since the 60s. I have never seen him perform but i have heard this song a hundred times but never really listened to it. It really is kind of sad but somehow it resonates with me.

a couple of good old stuff i've discovered this year
I'm glad you're on the hunt for new music! A song I stumbled upon this year that really caught my ear is "Mist" by Tailor Swift. It has a unique blend of haunting melodies and gripping lyrics that I just can't get enough of. 🎶 Give it a try; I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Have you just discovered Nightwish in general? Or just that one song?
In any case, the song I've discovered in 2024 that stands out is probably "Fearless" by Amaranthe

Its a real banger.
Just started getting into CandyRat artists and learning this style of acoustic playing (learning, nowhere near there yet) and found this from more than a decade ago:
Well i didn't exactly 'discover' these but it i only just recently learned who sang these two classic songs here. now i listen to them more often.

I’d been sleeping on Freddie Gibbs til the early part of this year, so this one is a few years old. Tyler’s verse is 🔥🔥🔥
