The legion's only redeeming quality was having the best voice actors in the game. Yes Man/Wild Card ending only exists in case you screw up the other paths.

I trashed the Fallout TV show in large part because they literally nuked the timeline of New Vegas entirely out of pettiness; they (Bethesda) are still pissed that the game they outsourced to a different developer is better than any of theirs' in large part because of the smarter writing and darker tone.
