The only related stuff I find listenable from these is the solo work from Andy Taylor, the guitar player from Duran Duran who left because he wanted to go more towards rock and the rest wanted to go even more into synth pop land.

I'm really into 80s music, especially the bands with iconic sounds. If I have to choose one from the era, I'd go with The Cure. All good bands. Talking Heads were the best of them, by far, in my opinion. Here is my personal ranked order of preference.

1) Talking Heads

2) Depeche Mode

3) The Cure

4) The B-52s

6) Tears For Fear

5) Duran Duran

7) Eurythmics

All great bands, but I have to vote The Cure as the best of these. Followed by Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, and the B-52s, though they are more of a 70s band who had a great album at the very end of the 80s.

I'm not a fan of 80s music. But out of those, I'd have to pick Talking Heads because I've listened to them more than any of the others. Although I have more Cure CDs than Talking Heads.

TFF and Eurythmics is a close second. I guess I should've picked them first because I have a lot more of their records than those of TFF. I mean, I went out to get as much Eurythmics as I could but, I only bought TFF if I felt like getting it.
