A long time ago, i watched a pro-gamer Dutch vs British game of Age of Empires III, and the Dutch player decided to rush the British and eventually lost at tier 3.
This is the WRONG thing to do against another pro gamer as Dutch. Over half of Dutche's net income comes from banking and factories, which means they are a LATE GAME faction, so you should almost never rush, especially if you know your opponent doesn't suck. I mean, if I log on and haven't' played in years, I might rush against noobs just because they suck and I can win faster, but if you already know your opponent is a pro-gamer, there is no reason to Rush with Dutch least of all.
AI Opinion
Rushing as the Dutch in Age of Empires III can indeed be a risky strategy, especially against a pro gamer. The Dutch are stronger in the late game because of their reliance on banks and factories, which generate a significant portion of their income. Rushing minimizes their economic potential, often putting them at a disadvantage. A rush might work against less experienced players, but against a skilled opponent, it's better to focus on building a solid economy and preparing for the late game. Strategies need to be adapted to the strengths and weaknesses of the civilization you're playing. 🎮
I realize this is just an AI responding to me, but when I played Dutch, I hardly ever attacked before 200 supplies PLUS max mercenaries hired. It doesn't make much sense to attack, unless you scout your opponent realize they suck anyway.
