I'm currently watching Dexter. This dude is a blood splatter expert working with the cops, but also a serial killer. Funny thing is, he only kills other serial killers.
I like that the main character isn't your stereotypical hero... it's super interesting seeing everything from his perspective.

I legit donāt even know😅 I donāt think Iāve watched anything in the way of a movie or TV show for six months, at least. Part of me feels like that canāt be true, but I think it is, haha.
The last thing I can remember and confirm is Shoresy, which actually has a new season out, but I havenāt really been in the right headspace to take in comedy, and I want to enjoy it, so Iāve been holding off.
Shoresy is my favorite active show. Youāll never believe it, but itās about hockey, lmao. Itās actually a spinoff of one of my all-time favorite shows, Letterkenny, and āShoresyā was an occasional character who was played by the same guy who played the main character, so he was only shown from behind, or at most, heād be in his hockey helmet with a āsmokeā colored visor to conceal most of his face.
But he has THE best, funniest, most creatively vulgar insults, or āchirpsā, that youāve ever heard in your life. Almost every one of them about banging out your mom🤣🤣🤣 In Letterkenny heād always pick on his teammates Reilly and Jonesy, two more arguably āmainā characters, who are just unbelievably dumb hockey brosā¦

I watched most of Starship troopers again yesterday but the last movie that I watched start to finish was at a movie night with my dad where we watch "Murder Inc." It's a piece of historical fiction with a heavy noir vibe. It was made in 1960 and there were some incredibly gripping and disturbing scenes in it that hit harder than you'd think from an old film.
Old movies that are on my "You have to watch before you die" are
1. "The seven Samuri" 1954 is one of the best movies ever made. Very a very subtle film you have to watch very carefully with no distractions. The cinematography of the shots is beautiful, and it pays ohmage to many old classic themes of legends and warriors without coming across as try hard. It's beautiful.
2. "The Third Man" 1949 A great mystery piece with themes of honor over self being the best way to live even when it doesn't get rewarded and may even be punished.
3. "Nightmare Alley" 1947 damn good movie and emotional rewarding to watch. It's basically a story of how a man destroys his entire life with his pride and arrogance and selfishness.
4. "Murder inc." as described above. I'd almost call it "Noir Horror"
These are just the most notable ones out of what I've watched. I highly recommend you watch them all. I think all of them and I know some of them can be found on YouTube completely free to watch at your leisure with great video quality when you factor in how old the films are.
Last movie I watched was Anora it was okay.. but the comedy that they tried to put into the movie in the middle didn't match the mood of the film and it kind of just ended miserably lol.
The last series I been watching is Dexter: New Blood it's alright but I don't like the girl who plays his sister but besides that its kind of good but not as good as the original.
Yeah New blood came out after Dexter but I actually been watching Original Sin I haven't watched New blood, because i never finished Dexter off LOL Damn I forgot the name hahaha my bad..
I'm watching 'The Good Doctor' right now. Well, I kind of started it last year but classes and all keep me busy so I just watch it when I get the chance. I also started watching 'Two Broke Girls'. I want to watch all these classic sitcoms like Sheldon, Modern family, Friends because they looks fun.
And I watched 'The boy who harnessed the wind' yesterday! It was awesome. You should check it out.
Dexter is such an intense and captivating series! I've recently finished watching "Squid Game" on Netflix. It's a Korean drama that revolves around a deadly survival game with high stakes. The unique storyline and character development kept me on the edge of my seat. The visuals and direction were stunning as well, offering a deep commentary on society. 🎮🔥 If you're into intriguing plots, you'd probably enjoy it!

My husband and I started Dexted a while ago but we never ended up finishing it. Iām a binge watcher but my husband is not. So he only could watch one or two episodes at a time. He says the show gives him too much anxiety lol.

I would absolutely recommend Mr Robot and Landman - Mr robot finished a while ago but is epic and I have watched it thrice. Landman only the first season has aired but I was hooked from episode 1 ā¦ lots of familiar actors in both

My guess is you will love all of them , I know I did. Michael c hall plays dexters character so well , socially awkward , emotionless etc , really liked his monologue , you feel connected to him
Iām personally not a fan of anything violent, raunchy, or with crude humor, which all seem to be quite popular these days; Iāve become a lot more diligent about what I choose to expose my brain to, I guess. 🤷āāļø I just watched Twisters and thought it was pretty good and lived up to the original. I do really love animation, and in my opinion The Wild Robot is a really sweet showāIām reading the books, as well. Sometimes I watch Food Network or HGTV, or crafting/diy shows too, since I like making stuff with my hands and Iām always trying to learn new things. 🙂
It takes place in the future and itās about a robot who crash-lands on an island and befriends the creatures who live there. Everyone that was going to watch with me decided it was too emotional and ended up not watchingāit is, but itās a really good kind of emotional. š I think they did a really great job with the visual design, too; good animation in itself is really entertaining to me and it takes a lot of talent.
u We watched The Princess Bride last night. It's currently my son's favorite movie; he's 4, turning 5 soon. He's currently allowed one full movie per week, usually on Friday night after dinner (social/emotional development and motivation for good behavior). It's agreeable enough for everyone, so we watch that one.

I watched 2nd season of Cobra Kai. Am meaning to watch Squid Games 2 but I'm waiting for when I've got more time. I don't want to watch something that will be too good to stop and distract me from my studies.

I recently watched 'The Substance' and am currently binge-watching classic TV sitcoms such as 'Wings' which is from the '80s & '90s.
The Substance is a bit disturbing.
The effects, in particular, are disturbing because they're kinda gross.
Meanwhile, the story grew predictable as the movie progressed.

I liked Dexter and the other Dexter revisited series. I like how the bad guys got their comeuppance by him. I still can't figure out what happened to his daughter. You saw his son, but his daughter just disappeared. Did I miss something?
I think it was in the sequel series.
Julie Benz has a daughter and son in Dexter. But in the sequel the son is still there but you never see the daughter again. Maybe she was going to tell on him and got sliced and diced. š¤
I guess I am kind of ruining it. Kind of telling who the killer is at the start of a murder mystery. š
Spoiler alert. I watched Rebel Ridge last night on Netflix. Clever movie. Unexpected. Tense but what made it so smart is unlike similar movies of this type no one died. The hero overcame the "enemy" in non fatal ways. Good twist too. I recommend it.

- There is a big fight with rival lions and the kings son and the main protagonist have to flee to save the bloodline as they are vastly outnumbered. Makes sense. How many females do they bring? 0.
- There is a section with a big cliff that could be jumped over, but they somehow have to choose between walking around or going along the bottom. This takes them a while. At the end of that the bad guys are at the other side so they can see how far ahead they are. But the bad guys do just jump over and reach them instantly.
- The kings son wants the female they met along the way, she fell in love with the protagonist who was actively helping him get her even though he could see she'd rather have him. Somehow seeing she loves him makes him go so angry that in a 0 from 100 move he turns sides and betrays them.
- The destination they rapidly get every animal on their side in an epic fight to fend off the bad guys. Even though they just arrived, would also eat them since they are lions and they have little reason to trust.
So yeah... not the best writing xD
