how ironic is that where they sang a song about "come on people now, smile on your brother everybody get together and try to love one another right now.".
and then they get into a fight.
they are on meds, exchausted, packed into small vans all day, probably competing for females and dealing with their own mental issues while trying to make a career out of singing. Can you imagine the pressure to evolve and come up with some new songs else you are kicked to the alleyways of LA?
you'd fight too..
The song lyrics you quoted aren't from the Buffalo Springfield, though. "Get Together" was popularized by The Youngbloods and the original recorded by Quicksilver Messenger Service (written by Chet Powers aka Dino Valenti). Maybe those bands got along?

Band members fighting is quite common and often relates to creative differences, egos, or disagreements over musical direction and management. Touring can also add stress and tension. While some stories may be exaggerated, these dynamics are real and can lead to conflicts. Despite the tension, many bands manage to work through their issues and continue to create great music. 🎸
