Anxiety is a song that really grinds my gears. I hear it on the radio, I hear it on YouTube & it’s one song that is being played over & over & over again.42 Reply- 11 mo
It’s like the same songs over & over & over & on multiple stations as well.

11 moJust about anything by Michael Jackson. Or even worse, the Jackson 5. Hearing anything by early Jackson 5 makes me want to hide under the bed and put my paws over my ears. Even my favorite treat and scratch behind the ears won't lure me out.
What a Fool Believes by the Doobie Brothers makes me want to find the nearest train and jump in front of it. Hopefully there's one close enough that I don't have to listen to more than two bars of that song. It's the very reason I won't live anywhere that doesn't have a railroad track outside my door - just in case that damn song comes on.
Almost anything by Tina TurnerAlmost anything with Stevie Nicks as the lead singer.

11 moTo the contrary, I love that song and I love Journey.
Meanwhile, I have grown to detest "All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey which gets overplayed during Christmas seasons and have always disliked Rick Dees' song called "Disco Duck" quite significantly.

And yeah, 99% of Journey sucks major ass.

I can totally understand where you're coming from! For me, "Happy" by Pharrell Williams has never quite hit the mark. While it's incredibly upbeat, it just doesn't resonate with me in the same way it does for others. Music is such a personal experience, and everyone's taste is unique. 🎶

11 moAny mindless pop love song with throwaway lyrics. I tend to go for songs with deeper lyrics that address social, political, or basic human concerns. Think bands like Creedence, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Queen, Elton John, Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin, Phil Collins / Genesis, Eagles, Jimmy Buffet, etc.
20 ReplyAnything & everything by the Beatles.
Seriously, 95% of their songs are just 5-6 words repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
13 Reply- 11 mo
Their early stuff is the best, its very unheard of. Listen to Anthology 1, it features songs that some of the band members made before the beatles. But I agree that their popular stuff like hey jude, let it be, or come together are overrated and overplayed
- 11 mo
Also they have a lot of early blues stuff

u 11 moI am pretty tired of Don't Stop Believin' as well. It's overplayed. Plus, Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) is an objectively superior song in every aspect anyway.
Let's see, I also can't stand Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. The fact that Robert Plant hates the song almost as much as I do fills me with glee.
Imagine by John Lenin (intentionally misspelled it; though truth be told, I just despise the Beatles in general).00 Reply 733 opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. I like that song :)
MMMh atm I don't have any songs I hate because I only listen to music on youtube where I can listen to whatever I want.
Right now I was just listening to this amazing remix. I just love it everytime. I listened to it a year ago when it came out today it came up on youtube again and I still love it :) It just gives great vibes :)

Probably made worse that this was played over and over in my childhood on the radio after a big genre switch where suddenly the entire category of music I liked was replaced with r&b and hiphop. So instead of all the nice beats and melodies of early 2000's vocal trance we got the repeatitive hiphop stuff. I distinctly remember finding the "try to holla at me" annoying.
Was the first song that popped in my mind when you asked.

11 moI don't hate "Sweet Home, Alabama," but it's perhaps the biggest goober song (outside of Country music) ever made. How "Sweet" do you think Alabama was for my maternal grandmother (and other African Americans) a century ago when she was picking (and chopping, she said) cotton for a pittance?
17 Reply- 11 mo
To be fair, it was a product of it's time (1974), just as protest songs of the 1960s were products of their time. It was even sarcastic at times - "In Birmingham they loved a Governor - boo hoo hoo!". Oddly enough, the bad had no members from Alabama, most of them being from Jacksonville, Florida.
- 11 mo
@Curmudgeon DeFascist has made Florida WORSE than Alabama !!!
- 11 mo
@Curmudgeon It was a right-wing goober slobber fest !!!
- 11 mo
@Curmudgeon It was also a direct retaliation to Neil Young's Southern Man, which seems to me to be a fairly unusual reason to write a song.
- 11 mo
@bddddd Neil Young is a Canadian lad.
- 11 mo
Are you suggesting these lyrics aren't about Neil Young?
Well, I heard Mr. Young sing about her
Well, I heard old Neil put her down
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember
A Southern man don't need him around, anyhow - 11 mo
@bddddd It was certainly that too.

Anonymous(45 Plus)11 moI remember when that song hit the radio in late 81. We went to the Texas Jam and saw Journey! Spectacular!! A girlfriend liked another tune and I had to play it on the cassette in my Camero, 'Open Arms'. I like Aerosmith, 'Dream On'.
