Have you ever felt that you're getting older fast & why?

Yesterday i was surfing the net and suddenly i saw that Ozzy Osbourne had his final concert under the name of "back to the beginning", i felt weird and said to myself: "did black sabbath really came to an end?" I was in denial and thinking that all my favorite singers are old now or growing old, same goes for my favorite actors, movies, lifestyle, games...

They are all fading away in the past!

I looked at myself in the mirror and said to myself: "i was like 17 y. o yesterday and now after a couple of months i'll become 40, time went so fast in a blink of an eye".

40 is a real shock to the system. It's kind of like, a half way point, and makes you evaluate everything you have done hitherto. You're right, inwardly, one feels the same as ever. Though to many youngsters, we are old!

That is true, it's like we are awakened that we aren't the current generation anymore and it's not our time anymore, especially when you talk to teenagers or young adults and suddenly you start talking about tapes, vhs and cd's and some other stuff while they are looking at you at not understanding a thing from what you're saying, you realize that you're beautiful ers became unknown to these new generations...

We aren't the cool guys anymore and we aren't the youngsters of the hood anymore... etc

True, old boy. But as long as you stay inwardly spirited and healthy. In my 20s I was a mess, so it's not all about age.

I don't think there necessarily needs to be such a big gap between the generations. But the one thing that does bother me, when you're around a person in their 20s and they're on their phone constantly. Like a borg. They're not all like that, but many are and it's obnoxious and rude.

True, it's because in our times there was no cell phones and all these electronic gadgets, life was different and we still had some morals and values unlike this generation who see you as an ancient artifact!

Yes, the list of things that I cannot longer do gets a little longer every day. I have many friends that are no longer alive and yes, all the musical acts that I grew up with are all old except for the ones that are dead.

That is true, going back to your youth and looking at the world while comparing it to the world that you're living in today is quite different, it's like a whole new world, everything had changed !

What i meant as an alien in a different world is comparing the world of your youth to today's world, how much things have changed, we can barely notice because we are living in this timeline but to realize the real facts, imagine yourself being in a coma for 20 or 30 years, you woke up now to see that everything is different, even the people and how they act, that's why you will have this strange feeling about being a stranger in a new world 😄

Yes getting old does suck. I sound like rice crispies when I get up in the morning. If I woke up one day pain free I'd think I was dead. So many things that I remember from my childhood are dead or gone.

Well said, back when we were kids we used to look at elders and have always wondered why they were always tired and in constant pain, also cannot move in a smooth way as us, now we have started to learn why 😏

As soon as I hit 50 it was all down hill from there. I always pushed myself past my breaking point when I was younger, now I'm paying for it

When we were kids, we have always dreamed to become grown ups so fast and time was passing so slow plus we had so much memories back then, now we barely have any memories and time is passing so fast, it's like yesterday we were saying happy new year and now we are getting closer to the end of the year, we look at ourselves and realize that we had done nothing till now...
