For example, a lot of shows that contain things like abuse, r*pe, s*icide, etc will post a trigger warning before the show begins in case anyone is dealing with that level of trauma, they can perhaps turn away if they feel it might trigger them in a psychologically destructive way.

I'm not referring to trigger warnings about flashing lights/seizures, as that is a medical condition.

I think TV and movies should have warnings but not too specific. Something like "some scenes may be too intense for small children" is fine. Nothing so specific that it's a spoiler.

I'm against trigger warnings for books. If it's too much, quit reading ffs.
