Do you think the media criticizes the wrong people?

I would like to offer people a reality check before anyone starts pointing fingers. I'm not a Swifty fan by the way but I find it odd that people criticize her by labeling her fans as a "cult," yet Jennifer Lawrence doesn't receive the same scrutiny. When someone expresses dislike for Lawrence, they are often accused of misogyny, particularly when she collaborates with male colleagues. In my opinion, Jennifer Lawrence should be subject to more criticism than Taylor Swift. I genuinely believe that there's an issue with people who fervently defend and shield Jennifer Lawrence, considering her to be lacking in talent and seemingly unhappy. In contrast, Taylor Swift has shown compassion by visiting a dying cancer patient. Nevertheless, people seem to be misguided, perhaps a result of the cultural influences in the 2010s that have led to a decline in critical thinking.

The vast majority of the mass media is only motivated by two standards:

Money: what ever drives views, clicks and subscriptions. So they will cover bs topics and celebrities who people waste their time obsessing over (says more about our culture tbh). But like need time make money to survive.
Ideology: politically slanted journalism is nothing new. But what is new (and disgusting) are so called “non partisan” media outlets who are blatantly politically biased. CNN is a perfect example. They claim they are non-partisan which is absolutely insane. At least MSNBC admits they are liberal and FOX admits they are conservative.

Anyway it’s really more of the fault of people who support this crap. If you don’t like a news source then NEVER support them in any way shape or form. That includes simply clicking on articles.

Factually no. The media targets whoever will get them the most revenue. Media outlets are no longer about truth. They report lies and bullshit or omit certain things to increase sales and clicks to generate more revenue. Numerous riots for example have been the cause of false news reports with bs like "black teen shot by police officer" why is this bs? Because anyone who bothered to investigate even a little further would have found out that the headline should have read "armed black teen shot by black police officer" but by omitting the armed and the color of the officer it leads people to assume that 1 the teen must have been unarmed and 2 the officer must have been white. Therefore it must be a racist thing.

I don't understand it. Jennifer Lawrence is way more toxic than Taylor swift. But people hate on taylor because she's very successful and has history of being very promiscious.

Jennifer Lawrence is just bad tempered and lacks talent. I find her lot more obnoxious than Taylor

None of us know these people. All we know is what the media has told us, influencer by celebrity PR agents. That means we know noting that is reliable.

I think the media is garbage in general. If you view the media on your phone/device as if you were sitting in a garbage pile of trash in the gutter of the big city, you have a better perspective of what it really is. Once you stop looking at it or look with the right perspective on it... that it's all about the worst negative emotions that trigger you, pointing fingers, criticising and cancelling... then you get to leave the garbage pile to a place of freedom.

Things that should be taught in school... but never will be.

So the reason Taylor is more hated than Jennifer is because of her attitude. At the end of the day people do not care about whether she visited a cancer patient or not, or did some other little deed - which is fine, but a person's character says much more about them than a typical celebrity moment of goodwill.

For many years Taylor has pretty much been the image of a young, arrogant brat who wants to write songs about bad exes. What's wrong with a woman who is constantly messing up with the wrong guys and has to write music about them? So images like hers have largely influenced young women of today - who are easy to mold and influence - to follow in the same arrogant, never-my-fault, everyone-will-always-love-me attitude.
