What kind of photography do you like?

Beautiful nature shots. I like photos of oceans, lakes, lighthouses, tropics, mountains, forests and valleys, shot of beautiful animals and birds, I like city skylines, sports stadiums,

I mean, I am a man. Sexy women are, of course, going to catch my eye but even though I like it because it is biological, I really don't wish that stuff existed because I don't want my wife or daughter posing for men to lust after her so I really don't wish other peoples' daughters and wives were doing that.

I like color. People freak out over black and white because it is "artistic" and blah, blah, blah. The world is in color. Taking the color out of photos makes it feel like part of reality and life has been sucked out of the picture. The world is vibrant and in color, desaturating a picture is taking some of the life and vibrance out of it to me. I don't enjoy them as much.

I have a particular fondness for street photography. Capturing raw moments of everyday life provides such a genuine insight into different cultures and surroundings. I also admire portrait photography, as it beautifully highlights emotions and stories behind the faces. Aesthetic and abstract photography draws me in due to its creative expression, much like how art films captivate their audiences 🎥📸.

I used to go out in the field and do a lot of nature photography. You would find me in the middle of the woods, carrying a tripod and everything I could ever need in a backpack. Black and white, plus color too. I never carried 2 film cameras though, I'd force myself to think either in terms of B&W or in color.

Now, I'm more into casual things, street photography, whatever I find along the way. Mainly converted to black and white now. I do a lot of close-ups of things that need a closer look, so to speak.

Maybe the evolution is a reflection of my character: calm and comtemplative, but with an innate curiosity and a sense of trying to capture fleeting moments.

As for inspiration, I'd name Henri Cartier-Bresson and Ansel Adams.
