Can some bands from the 90s be considered classic rock?

I feel like rock from the late 60s, and early 80s could be considered classic rock. Not sure about the 90s though.

Yes, I am 52, Pearl Jam. Nirvana, etc, all came out when I was -17-25. I am the youngest in my family by ten years at least and 17 years at the most. When i was a kid classic rock stations were playing the Beatles and Queen, Zeppelin, Aerosmith, The Who, etc.. That was in the late 80's that's really only 10-20 years after their debut. Pearl Jam and Nirvana are over thirty years past.

I think Music in all genres has had greater staying power than the previous generations, such as the 50's and 60's.

Nope. Classic Rock is 60s-70s. 90s was grunge, alternative, punk, etc.
