There are so many, but I will still go with "Avatar" by "Dead Can Dance", the 8th song from their 2nd album, "Spleen and Ideal" released in November 1985 on 4AD Records.

This song can roughly be spilt up into 3 equally long parts of about 90 seconds each. It's around the 3:00 mark that the song begins to transition to soaring with Lisa Gerrard's glossolalia singing.

Lisa Gerrard has only sung in glossolalia ever since this song. She was famous for working with Hans Zimmer on the soundtrack to the 2001 Academy Award winner for Best Picture: "Gladiator"

For instance, this song, "Now We Are Free" is from near the ending of "Gladiator" after Russell Crowe's character, Maximus Decimus Meridius, dies after having killed the Emperor Commodus played by Joaquin Phoenix.

Currently, my favorite song is "Don't you dare forget the sun." Essentially, the song is sung from 2 perspectives: It is sung from a woman's perspective who is depressed and it is sung from a man's perspective who is talking the woman out of suicide. I like it because it reminds me of my younger self. I also wish I had a friend like the man in this song. It would have helped me cope when I was going through dark times.
