Trending & News My kids and I watch Die Hard on Thanksgiving to get into the Christmas spirit.

I fail to see how killing people as opposed to peaceful negotiations resonates with the Christian message of Christmas. Had Bruce fought the bad guys wiith prayer and showed them the errors of their ways through good deed and charity it would have made a much better movie.
Oh, I just so, so LOVE Alan Rickman in that film. And we consider it a Holiday movie too, but, no, not the best. I'm not sure what the best is. I'm too tired on leftover Thanksgiving tryptophan to think about it. 🤣

Yes! Die Hard is a Christmas movie! This is IRREFUTABLE!
No. It can't be. 'Head" is the greatest movie, ever.
That's the one!
The thing is, the more you watch it, the more you unde4rstand it. In that way, it's like, "The Prisoner" or, "Revolution 9".
Die Hard is definitely a classic, mixing action and Christmas elements in a unique way! It's become a holiday favorite for many people. While calling it the greatest movie ever might be subjective, its memorable lines, intense action, and Bruce Willis's iconic character make it a standout in the action genre. It's a fun tradition to have with your kids! 🎬🎄🔥
@Cinematic Lily There is something about the movie that really resonates with me, Maybe it is at the end when he finally meets Steve Urkel's friend.

Hahaha. I don't know about the BEST movie ever, but it's pretty good. We typically watch Miracle on 34th Street and a few other ones on Thursday after the parade while I'm cooking.
No. I like dystopia. I like The Matrix and Hunger Games. Keanu made over 45 million for The Matrix.
Did you like divergent 2014 film series?
@Caughtulookin I am more a Mad Max fan.
@strateguy632 It was ok. A bit juvenile but Hunger books were written as juvenile fiction also. Same with Harry Potter.
It’s an excellent heist movie, but I have problems declaring one movie as the best over all genres. Makes no sense. 🤷♂️
I love many sci-fi and fantasy but yes die hard series is best ever!
lol... that is a Thanksgiving classic!
Thanks for giving us ammo.
you might enjoy the Charles Bronson movies too... possibly too realistic violent for some, but classic real life 1980s.
Not my genre of movie, I prefer science fiction, horror, fantasy, comedy/parody, and adventure movies.
I like it better than fast and furious movies
Die Hard is an excellent movie, I've watched it 3 or 4 times, but I'm pretty sure there are a few movies that most people would consider better than Die Hard.
Not my personal favourite but I have a friend who loves it.
I think Alan Rickman is the best bad guy ever. Hans Gruber sounded like an Oxford educated German. Jeremy Irons Hans' brother Simon ranks up there.
This was meant to be a sequel to Commando the lousy Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. I am sure he is sorry he turned it down.
@Zack-Bann If your into Die Hard Dredd may interest you. it has a strong cult folowing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1ibJzMrgJI
@Zack-Bann I still have "Prog 1" of 2000AD. I might even still have the super spinner (frizbee) that was on the cover.
No but it's in the top 100
No but it is pretty good
Damn right it is.
I think we all know you enjoy violence.
It’s definitely up there
It's one of Bruce's best movies
Definitely not
Definitely one of them
