A KIDULT is an adult who enjoys playing with kid's toys.  A recent Circana report found that adults (over age 18) accounted for toy sales of US$1.5 billion over the last three months of 2024, which accounts for 28% of global toy sales, an increase of 2.5% since 2022. Are you a KIDULT? What kinds of kid's toys do you like to play with?

I think you should make a clear distinction between people who buy toys to play with, and people who buy toys as a form of collecting, usually around a theme.

Neither form is necessarily bad or weird. There's some serious money involved as well. I saw a video of a brother and sister selling their father's LEGO collection when he passed away. All rooms in the house were filled with LEGO toys, a lot of them in unopened boxes.

I guess i am though I've forced myself to curb these tendencies in the past due to public opinion. I don't give a crap now! I enjoy things. I could get into trucks real hard if my old friend were alive and here with his little brother. We played this til age 17 when at that time, were caught by some gorgeous female cclassmates. we played maybe once or twice after that.

Oh yes. Whenever I go shopping for my young nieces I always get things that I want to play with and they have so many new fun toys these days. And what's really awesome is then I can go to my sisters house and make a total mess and then go home without picking up my toys. 😊

I play games sometimes but toys, nope. With 15 I renovated my room in my parents house and my toys incl. Monster High collection landed in trash.

@aviatortom No yet I try to keep living my life as if I'm still an early 20s mindset dorm fellow until I'm pushing further into my 30s - 😅 yet it's also mostly true, minus the university part 😆 that would just be cringe to still take courses I never complete - I'm not brainy for degrees 🧠

I like all kinds of games and toys. Kids toys are mindless fun, help me tap into my imagination in ways that i rarely do anymore, and bring me a sense of nostalgia. All of which i enjoy from time to time.
