I think she just wanted to live a stable life with John where their kid would be safe. She was looking out for her child and saw John's behavior as immature.

John has a character arc and he grows and learns as the story goes on. I'm not sure if you've finished the game but they do get back together happily.

I've been finished the game. I'm replaying it now. I get that she wants a stable life, but the events that led to her leaving wasn't johns fault. He was just doing his job as a farm hand and the situation where someone knew who john was wasn't his fault. John wasn't looking for violence and also wants a stable life for his family as well as Abigail.

Yeah, i get where you're coming from. I agree a lot of the stuff isn't directly John's fault. But they still both gtta deal with the consequences of his past actions.

I like that the game made me feel torn about this dynamic. Love is complicated, even more so when you're constantly in some sort of danger or being hunted by the government.

I can't blame her, I can't blame him, but I'm glad they ended up in that house they built together.

Besides a lot of that nonsense was all because of Dutch.
