I own a straight edge razor (beard shaping) and a disposable 4 blade cartridge razor. I've tried foil based electrics and rotary electrics but they always left me with redness and bumps from razor burn. Blades are a foolproof method to get a quick clean shave. the only advantage of electrics for me was the ability to get a fast shave on the go at work, on a plane or train, etc.
Something on my bucket list is to get a shave with a straight-edge razor by an attractive female barber. Fortunately, I found a place about 25 minutes away that is owned and operated by women and that do straight-edge razor shaves.
For instance, this place is in Toronto:
I use both a straight razor and an electric shaver. Electric shaver for my face and a straight razor for my neck and trim lines. I put down electric shaver because if I had nothing else I could make do.
I don't believe in disposable razors and safety razors as far as quality of shave and cost go. They're wasteful. Blades are expensive and disposable razors belong in the garbage.
I use an electric shaver, always have since I first started growing facial hair around age 12.
I tried a safety razor once or twice, and nicked myself each time. 😐
I wax myself now but prior to that I was using disposable
I have a lady shave, but I rarely use it.
I have my old reliable electric for day-to-day. I have disposables for Sundays. A bag a year is enough.
i have been using an electric razor for 2 years. It does a good job with no bleeding.
I have never used the term safety razor, I am assuming that covers most of the others like the Fusion, etc.
I use a self-heating cartridge razor, which was initially rather expensive but turns out to be absolutely terrific.
A Norelco 5801XL electric shaver that I've had since 2002
I use a straight edge razor

I prefer electric shavers for their convenience and speed. They're great for quick touch-ups and have advanced quite a bit in terms of technology. Electric shavers are fantastic for traveling and are gentle on the skin too! 😊
