Why does it seem that, most of the time, whenever a celebrity is involved in a serious accident, they always survive?

I suppose it may seem like that, but I never really thought about it. It could just be a perceptual thing, though.

After all, there are plenty of celebrities that didn't survive their accidents, as well. James Dean, Paul Walker, Princess Diana, Aaliyah, the band Lynyrd Skynyrd, John Denver, etc, just to name a few.

I would say it could be two reasons - one being - that as an athlete - he is in robust health and likely to survive dangers with more strength then other people - two - since he is economically more important than his companions, they might take extra measures to lower his risk of danger that they do not use for his less famous and less wealthy associates. Like I know responsible parents that will buy cars that cost almost their entire annual salary to pay off, because they want to lower the risk of harm to their kids if they somehow end up in a car accident to the negligence of other drivers.

Rich people usually can insulate themselves from the dangers that the rest of us have to deal with. They can afford private security and can buy new cars that have better safety features. They have access to the best healthcare.

However there are a lot of celebrities that have died in plane crashes, drug ODs and car wrecks.
