Why hasn’t pro wrasslin’ ever implemented playback review in order to discourage cheating?

I won’t spoil the end for you, but suffice it to say that there is egregious cheating in this match. That’s why i selected it as an example for this question.

I remember when i was much younger and following pro wrasslin’ fairly closely. There was always a lot of cheating! If the organizers aren’t going to listen to the fans; let’s face it, they do tend to be biased! Then they should probably implement digital playback reviews to catch, disqualify and discourage cheaters. Shouldn’t they?

It’s always that way it’s cheating and the dumb referee never sees anything. That’s part of the show. It’s stupid and old, but they’re still doing it. That doesn’t answer the question. Are you implying that it wouldn’t be entertaining without cheating? If so, i contend that having a system for catching and punishing cheaters actually provides at least as much drama as the cheating does. Technically it doubles the drama because you’re going to have cheating AND retribution in a whole new format.

What? It's a stage play. The audience doesn't know what's coming next, but the wrestlers and the referee certainly do. There's no cheating because it's not a competition.
