What is the first music album you ever bought? Do you still have it and listen to it?

The first one I ever bought with my own money was, "Through The Past, Darkly" by The Rolling Stones. I just bought a copy of, "Honky Tonk Women" on a 45 a month or so before and it ended up with a huge crack completely through the record on one "side". It was pressed on polystyrene which is garbage plastic that wears out real fast and will snap in half if you look at it cross-eyed!! I bought a second copy that suffered a similar fate and, in both cases, the store where I bought it refused to exchange or refund me so, I bought that album because it had that song on it (probably had both sides bit, I don't recall off the top of my head) and WOULDN'T crack!!
Yes, I still have it. Except for the psychedelic songs on it, it wasn't one of my fave albums so, I don't play it very often. A big attractor was the hexagonally cut album cover. I've only got one or two others like that. One is by Horslips, a Dutch or Swedish band that sounds just like Jethro Tull.

Tools "Ænema", in early '97, was the first album I can ever remember buying with my own allowance money. I must have been 7 years old at the time. However, I had many records, CDs and cassettes that a cousin gave me about a year before.

Look don't judge me, but I got the Silly Songs with Larry CD. From veggietales. I have no idea where the CD is or if I sill have it, but sometimes I'll listen to veggietales songs when they get stuck in my head

The first music I bought with my own money was the cassette of Synchronicity by The Police, and Business as Usual by Men at Work. Both were fantastic and I still have them. What I don't have is a working cassette player!

U2, Achtung Baby. Yes I still love it. 'One' was one of my favourite songs at one point. It's probably been demoted to 'All time top 50' because I have consumed a lot of quality music since then.

All of my music albums are long gone. I don't remember what the first album was. I inherited a lot of albums from my sister, and she had many from the 1960s.

I think it was Creed - Human Clay. And I guess technically I still do, but I've had to buy two or three copies over the years.

I had a record album of the Beatles '65 in my record collection so that was probably my first album I bought.
