Is using chatgpt only for editing bad?

So I've been recently writing a romance novel. The ideas are mine; I've written the whole book. i only send chapters for ChatGPT to edit. I usually also read what ChatGPT has written and then go over a second time, changing things i dont like. That doesn't sound like my voice. I've also had a friend read some of my novel and she's told me it doesn't sound like Ai. i only worry because I want to publish this book on wattpad. any advice? if so, is there any free softwares that can help me edit my book?

It is perfectly fine. I am glad you realise that maintaining your own 'voice' is important. Most AI models have a 'voice' too now and it is rapidly growing very unpopular.

That said it is going to be a tool in the future. Learning to use it now and to what extent it ca be useful will only help.

As someone currently working on AI implementation I'd loosely suggest to always ensure AI is used as a tool to an intended result, never to replace intention. Because, for writing especially, it will do a grammatically fine job that won't interest anyone.

How is it plagiarism? I wrote it and want to get it edited and proofread, the same way a writer sending their book over to an editor. It was my idea, i panned out the whole book and i wrote it. im talking editing. not rewritting

ChatGPT can now use your writing to make its own novel and call it entirely AI-generated material. It will plagiarize you word for word and you can’t do anything against it because you gave it that information. Not to mention it probably takes a small lake just to get it to edit your work so you can publish it on fucking wattpad.

No, it can be a useful tool for editing. I've read stuff wattpad. People sometimes do still publish work on there with grammer mistakes.
