I fought a woman beater while shitfaced on new years.
Woke up on someone's couch to the sight of some woman sliding across the floor. Pretty much everyone was gone so maybe he didn't know I was there. Then this slobbering dog jumped on me so I was not in a great mood. This was back when I had some pretty serious anger issues.
So I asked him if he has somewhere better to abuse women, the girl comes tries to sneak behind me into the kitchen, her face is fresh welted. So now I'm wondering how drunk I still really am because did I really sleep through something so violent.
As much as I wanted to be the "hero" this dude was bigger than me, probably coked out and I was dizzy and weak.
All I can really remember was being a wise ass until he lands a gut shot, I went 🤢🤮 all over his shoes and then I felt a lot better 😂 beat the shit outta that asshole.
When I left he was laying at the bottom of the steps at the foyer.
And I might be making this up, but I vaguely remember still having the bottle of bacardi gold when I left 😂
I saved my best friends wedding in a fashion. We Flew to Vegas to stop at the Luxor where they were promised a room in the pyramid with views. I was in the rooms at the side of the pyramid. Had a very good view of the swimming pool though and 2 queen sized beds all to myself. Just had time to look around when I had a knock at the door with a very tearful bride to be. There room overlooked the back of the hotel and they had perfect views of AC units 🙁. Obviously being the great friend I am I quickly told her to get there bags and swap with me. Was no skin off my nose and I wanted them to have the best time possible 😊
Not in a dramatic, movie scene way.
But yes in quiet ways.
Showing up when it mattered. Staying calm when things could’ve escalated. Saying something honest that shifted the direction of a situation.
Most “saved the day” moments aren’t loud.
They’re steady.
And sometimes, just not making things worse is already enough.
All the time with my neices and nephew. I always jump in to help if their parents are sick or whenever they need a sitter last minute. I'll spend the whole day with them outside of the house so their parents can rest.
