Yes, I just answered this 2 weeks ago but not in detail.
In the mid `80's, I started going to college and met a lot of great people!! One was this girl, Jennifer Marcin. A cross between Marilyn Monroe, Debby Harry and Kim Cattrall! GORGEOUS!! She could've been Debby's twin sister!!
Her boyfriend, Mark was also one of my best friends, so was another mutual close friend, Marc. One day, I'm up on the 3rd floor by myself in the art office when Mark coomes upstairs with Jenn and asks me to see iif I can help her. He tried but wasn't doing much good and, besides, he worked down on the first floor and couldn''t take the time to talk to her for moore than a few minutes. she was crying. So, as I was between classes and had time, I talked with her for a good while. She said that was either gonna become a nun or jump out the art office window (a 5 story drop because, there were two basements! Eventually, she told me what the problem was. apparently, all this time she'd been dating Mark, she was actually in love with Marc!! But, she figured she'd never be able to GET Marc so, she settled for Mark! Well, she just didn't know to do about this so, I talked her through it and gave her suggestions and she told me that I just saved her life.
About 20 years ago, the same college had a class I wanted to take so, I took it and met another girl, Kelly. She'd very recently had a VERY shitty life!! She met a guy from here online when she was 16 and he CLAIMED he was about 20! she fell in love with him and moved here from Conn. when she was 17, fresh out of high school, to be with him.
Once she got here and found a place to live, she called him up and asked him to come help her move. He said he would but never showed. Her new neighbor saw her move in and offered to help her. Once they were done moving in, he rapped her!! When her boyfriend found out a couple years later, he accused of her of cheating on him with the rapist!! Then the teacher in our class started hitting on her!! Asking her on dates!! She's a VERY shy, quiet and timid thing!! Even standing next to her, I have trouble hearing her when she talks!! She always said she just wants to melt into the wallpaper. One day, her boyfriend told her "the truth", that he was actually 32! This pissed her off a good bit! So did his being possessive of her!! I never met the guy but, the MOST I ever did with Kelly was accidentally kiss her on top of her head, ONCE! But, he accused me of having fucked her!!
She told me that I remind her of her beloved late brother, Corey, the only one that'd listen to her and care about her. He died in front of their house when he was 17. He was in a car and hit a tree. She was only 11 and it REALLY tore her up!!
Well, we'd spend hours and hours every night chatting online almost every night!! She told mme one night about how she was really scared of her neightbor (he'd burst into her apt. and answer her ringing phone, take food from her fridge or stand outside her door banging on it trying to get her to let him in so he could fuck her again!! Quite often, he'd do these things in his underwear!! So, between her sicko boyfriend, her teacher and this asshole next store, she was ready to kill herself!! We had a long talk online one night and I was able to talk her out of killing herself and she said that I saved her life.

A best friend of mine just deals with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. The few phone calls I get of her sobbing and wanting to end her life are scary ones.

She constantly thanks me for being there, even at her worst. She lives near an hour away so I can't get to her so quick. But me talking to her about stuff like cooking and whatnot has her feel better by the time I've spoken to her for two hours.

As she was/is there for me, I'd do the same. She just deals with too much. Hell, even washed her dishes when I saw her a few weeks ago.

Little secret about me from my dad. He was holding me in his arms (baby years) and my mom was going off and cussing him out. He is not one for "vulgar words", ever. He said "... what?" And with that, smack to her face. Her anger can make her speak all sorts of bullshit and actions i need to record for receipts. For that one though, as he told me, her brain went for murder. She tried to kill him but i was there to stop it. She wouldn't kill me but would do it to him if i wasn't there.

My mother has gotten older and weaker now. So much so, her control over her life is fading. She works three jobs, downs my goals and will scream at me if I don't do what she says. Soo no telling if she might lose her mind and take me out of this world in my sleep now.

Yea one time my neighbor was dying in his house and since I live in a big complex the fire rescue got lost, I ran with bro to guide them to the apartment that my neighbor was laying almost dead, he's alive now, I personally don't see it that way cause I mean I'm sure they would've got to him in time anyways.

A woman once, because I had turned her on her side when she started vomiting in her sleep.

Yes, we had drank and she had offered me... substances which I took with her. I took way less than her, she used to take more and almost every night - so I was more alert and some up when she started coughing and choking.

Turned her on the side, she threw up and went back to sleep. The day after she realized what had happened.

Yeah, my sister cuz I think I kinda did lol... She was really low on sugar and nobody noticed because she was already pregnant and tired for a while and she had just came back from the hospital so everything should be okay... I suspected something was wrong so I woke her up and gave her something high on sugar to drink... She told me that I saved her life because she felt like she was gonna go into a coma and no one would notice and that she was too tired to even say a word...

When you work with very heavy equipment. You have probably been saved many times and not even realized it. The same as saving someone else from being killed or injured!
