How much are you willing to spend on good sound quality?

Honey, sound quality isn’t something you “spend” on — it’s something you invest in. Like fine wine, rare art, or that one pair of Louboutins that make every step feel cinematic. You don’t set a hard limit; you chase the moment your music stops being background noise and starts breathing, pulling you into another dimension.
once I get a place more to my liking... I'll definitely spend whatever it is needed
at my current place, the neighbors are still way too close, and this is a very crowded street, lol... I would not do that to them

I own some handmade Wilk Audio SB acoustics loudspeaker set with 30 cm woofers and Denon AVR X4400. It sounds good and it wasn't that expensive. I think super high end HiFi is for mentals who think they can hear if loudspeaker cable contains too much impurities. XD
It's important, but I wouldn't go to the extreme as shown in the picture. Well, I would if I had a spare room, good sound isolation and understanding neighbours.
A quality amp and quality sound cancelling headphones do wonders. Contrary to popular belief, music shouldn't be played too loud. It will only drown out the more subtle parts.
When I was much younger, I spent more than $2000 on a quality sound system.
Today, now that I'm older, my hearing has deteriorated, and today's music doesn't hold a candle to yesterday's music, I'm perfectly happy with lower quality streaming services.
Sound makes the world go round when you can hear every instrument as it's playing and it's tuned , and it's clear and you can fill it on the inside of your body
as im listening it gives me goosebumps, just thinking about it. LOLI love good sound. You become the rhythm, the beat.
That’s a cool one in the picture😊
The one I have rn is (VIZIO Home Theater with Subwoofer) I believe I bought it for $300 or less, it’s very good to watch movies, shows and listening to music.. if I want to upgrade I think I’ll stick to less than $500 😄
I don't see myself spending more than $3,000 on something like that. I'd really struggle to justify the expense, unless I'd decided to start entertaining guests or something.
I snagged a stereo system from a the early 1980s at a thrift store for $28 original speakers still sounds good enough for me 😁 I have more important things to spend money on
I’ve probably spent a few thousand dollars on what I have now but that’s over the course of 30 something years and I still have most of it, the only thing that’s not that old are the pinnacle tower speakers that I have and a hybrid amplifier that uses tubes and solid state , and an old Technics turntable
None, and that’s because I am around it all the time. When the mixing console you are going to use today cost more than your car, you have access to countless pieces of esoteric gear (both playback and recording) and are friends with people who collect, I don’t need to spend a dime. I have a nice turntable with a good cartridge (Music Hall), that’s it.
What I'm willing to spend and the amount I have to spend are way 2 different topics.
I have playlists I so enjoy leaving on as I go through the day but I actually only have 20 $ wal-mart speakers to play them on. How pathetic is that?😳
Maam can you please share your Playlist with me?
If I lived in a home where I was far off from neighbors and not in an apartment, quite a lot. As much as I can afford honestly. I listen to music everyday. It would be nice to have good sound quality like the one in the picture.
I'd cap at around 200 usd. I'm still rocking a Sony two speaker set with DVD receiver and thump enough woofer that I bought for 80 bucks in 2013. It came with 4 speakers, but I ditched the back 2 and set it to 5.1 stereo.
About 15 - 20 years ago now I spent about $1000 on my sound system. It still works so no need to spend a pile more money that I don't have.
Not that much, but these days it doesn't take much.
Not a lot, frankly. I bought a hifi a few years ago. From memory the two standing speakers together were about USD 1000, with the rest of the system commensurate.
I know, I have disappointed you @nikki1989
I once had an extensive sound system installed in my car; it cost approximately $6,000.
As much as needed. I am one who hears the losses in mp3's and hates them.
I don't have a clue about hi-fi so I'd be wasting my money.
For listening to music or playing music, like in a band? ;)
not a lot
