Do a search for Raycon Earbuds. They're not as good as the Sony's, but they're less than 25% of the price, and quite good for the money. They occupy a very good place on the price/performance curve.

  The "everyday" models are cheaper, but don't have active noise canceling and aren't water/sweat resistant. The "fitness" models have active noise canceling (don't walk/run/bike in public with noise canceling or you could kill yourself) and are water/sweat resistant, but cost more.

I have a pair of mtx earbuds they are loud and less than 50 bucks i think i got mine from a guy on ebay brand new

  117 db and real good bass also another one i liked probably not around altec lansing backbeats they were 70 bucks those mtx buds the bass sounds like it would in a car you just dont feel it

For wireless sennheiser CX are good and very reasonably priced. For wired KB ears are brilliant and very cheap

  Those are quite good indeed, but they're expensive and the batteries aren't replaceable, so they'll eventually be eWaste, just like Apple stuff. It's a shame.

  The older versions had batteries that could be replaced, I believe up to the third generation you could, but the 4th and 5th gen models this became impossible - they gave up that ability to get a small size reduction. It's the industry trend...
