When I first saw this film it stayed with me for days , just aspects that really gave me chills.
It’s kinda a slow burn but really unsettling.

And coming from me , a guy who loves horror movies , I think this carries more weight.

I borrowed a block buster movie when a gay friend I knew from kindergarten was at my house. He was a medical student and we were watching the pianist which included some gruesome psychological trauma, I could not finish the movie and went upstairs to my room to listen to music while he finished the movie alone.

The exorcist was the scariest movie to me. I watched it as a kid who grew up with Christian parents lol…
So the devil… demons… were a real thing to me and seeing the exorcist scared the crap out of me haha…

For pure terror, “Hereditary” ruined my sleep the most 😅 The atmosphere is suffocating, the sound design is unnerving, and Toni Collette’s performance feels almost too real. The way it turns family trauma into supernatural horror is brutal. I remember watching it alone at night and literally pausing to breathe. That last act stays in your head. 👀🎬
