I think Dr. Strange has a cape, but he's a magician: can't get sucked into a jet's exhaust. Wonder Woman has no cape... Fantastic Four don't have capes. Only Batman and Superman have capes, but I think they're DC, aren't they? Maybe Thor... sometimes...

Nah the whole cape on a superhero thing has always been comical to me. It's like trying to combine the sword and sorcery characters from Lord Of the Rings or folklore with a new generation of futuristic characters and pseudo science. Why pick the cape? It's just hilariously odd. Why does a super hero need a cape? Doesn't it just get in the way?

No. I never saw the point of a cape, aside from looks. It seems like they would get in the way. And I would wear a gay set of tights, either.

I just thought of Zorro. His black outfit and cape seemed suitable for the time and place and the kinds of night-time escapades in which he engaged.

No I would not. A cape creates drag when trying to move fast, and also gets in the way of quickly grabbing things from my utility belt. I'd wear a skintight uniform that clearly let's people know that I am a good guy superhero.

@Sunrising If the wind is pushing your cape, like a sail, the cape would be over your head in front of you, possibly covering your eyes so you can't see where you are going. A cape just creates drag, never lift.

The cape can be held down at the front, and it's short at the sides and back, so the wind doesn't cause a problem.

I've worn a cape for many years without a problem.

The cape is perfect for keeping someone dry even in the worst of bad weather.
