Wrath of Khan was the best movie of either , but over all The first 3 star wars 1977 to 1981 were better than most of Star Trek Movies.

It hits that mythic, operatic vibe I love, with iconic visuals, dramatic family drama, and John Williams’ score just living rent-free in my head. I grew up sketching Darth Vader and Leia, so there’s nostalgia too.

Star Trek is amazing for philosophy and world-building, but if I must choose for a rewatch marathon, I go Star Wars every time 🚀🌌

Star Wars was a classic Saturday afternoon matinee movie for kids that moved the setting from the old west to outer space. Fun, groundbreaking special effects, but ultimately not very profound. Good guys and bad guys shooting it out in space.

Star Trek stuck to Gene Roddenberry's concept of morality tales that dealt with human challenges and angst moved to outer space and played off (implausible) alien encounters with aliens who always looked and behaved an awful lot like humans.

I'll give Star Wars the win when I'm 8-18 years old and Star Trek the win as an adult. Neither has been particularly compelling for me.

I'm a trekkie, for obvious reasons.

Star Wars has what, 9 movies, with the storyline basically created by a 9-year old boy.

In comparison, Star Trek has 13 full-length movies and 13 series totaling hundreds of episodes, with the initial concept by a well-known experienced producer.

I'm one of the guys from the "star wars is not science-fiction" team. I view Star Wars as fantasy in space, or western in space. And I like fantasy at times, but I'm much more into science-fiction because that's where I go to find social commentary.

Disney ruined Star Wars which was my favorite. I would see a Star Trek movie between the two. We need a new and amazing movie and Star Trek could pull it off.
