Which type of hero is more interesting: realistic, slightly superhuman, or godlike?

So a "Peak Human" hero is Batman or Daredevil. A "Peak Human" Villain might be The Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who has been shown in crossover comics to be equal to Batman.

A slightly super human character would be Steve Rogers as "Captain America", who's metabolism is six times greater than an ordinary peak human. This allows him to run a 40 seconds mile and vertically jump high, and lift six times the weight of a peak human, etc.

An absurdly super human character is like Omega Mutants from Marvel, or Superman, etc.

For me, “slightly superhuman” is the sweet spot 😎

Peak humans like Batman are cool because they feel grounded, but the plot has to bend a lot to keep them alive against gods. Godlike heroes like Superman or Omega-level mutants are awesome visually, yet tension often disappears.

With someone like Captain America, stakes still feel real, but the action can be spectacular. Perfect balance ⚖️

Yeah I know. I thought of having normal humans beat super-human villains somehow, through teamwork and technology, but that might not be convincing to some audiences.
