Why are some porta-potties shaking at festivals?

I’ve noticed that at festivals, people sometimes have to wait in long lines for the restrooms, but some porta-potties stay occupied for a really long time. Sometimes people get impatient and even kick the door.

What confuses me is that occasionally the porta-potty is literally shaking 😭 I’ve always wondered why some people take so long in there, and why the whole thing moves sometimes. Has anyone else noticed this before?

I genuinely don’t know. They’re gross. Most festivals/festival goers would be perfectly fine with public nudity/sex on the grass

Long waits are usually because people are doing more than just peeing: changing clothes, doing drugs, dealing with stomach issues, fixing makeup, even hooking up.

The shaking is often from people inside moving around a lot, or from friends outside messing with them as a joke, kicking or bumping the porta-potty. Festivals bring out chaotic bathroom behavior 😂💩
