What is your favorite TV show intro?

One (or two, but don't go crazy) that you can't skip no matter how many times you've seen it. The criteria is up to you. The music, the scene, the narration, just the way it sets the show up perfectly. Just *try* to separate your thoughts about the show itself from the intro, i. e, don't just post the intro to your favorite show unless that's just a coincidence...

My two favorites, they couldn't be much different. Third would be the old Twilight Zone intro.

Love that "Vikings" intro myself. lemme see... I'll have Star Trek "Enterprise" nice nostalgic content with a little Rod Stewart. Also the X Files, that music is sort of creepy but draws me in straight away.

For me it’s the True Detective season 1 intro, easily 😍
That layered double‑exposure imagery with “Far From Any Road” playing over those bleak Southern landscapes just hooks me every single time. It sets the mood so perfectly: haunting, mysterious, philosophical.

My second one is the Cowboy Bebop opening. “Tank!” + that jazzy, graphic design style = instant goosebumps 🖤

TV shows intros have usually simple tracks. Vikings as mentioned before is nice one. However there are some older pieces written in 1980/90ties as musicians knew how to produce songs.

Currently the theme song from Kaiju No.8. I find the show unwatchable and stupid, but the song is kind of cool. Weird because it is not the kind of music I would normally listen to.

You need to understand that this opening was scary and The Outer Limits had some really scary episodes. The episode "The Architects of Fear" has an "alien" so hideous that some network affiliates refused to broadcast the episode.
