All 4 of them are the best in their field.
So far, the only one I haven't met is Robert Fripp, the one sitting down. But, he DID send me a short letter about 30 years ago! Wish I still had it!
I ran lights for the singer at a solo gig. I never ran lights before that night but, he said I did a great job. His soundman, Dean, was sitting next to me and he said I did good, too.
I guess you could call them nerds. They use lots of stuff not many others do.
Those are called, Simmons drums. Yes, they are electronic and the drummer helped create them. I'm pretty sure he's got the SDX version. Each one as 3 ranges so, each pad can make 3 different sounds depending on where you hit it and you can change how it sounds depending on how hard you hit it. So far, I've only got an SDS 1000. Each pad only plays one sound and I THINK you can change it depending on how hard you hit them. I've hardly used them, though because I've mostly been using the V-Drums. Each one only has 2 ranges (the center and the edge) and each range gives a different sound but, they're close to what the SDX can do. It also depends on the brain you have them plugged into. I have the TD-5, 8 and 10 brains but I mostly use the 10. As they are all MIDI, which I haven't had the chance to figure out, yet, I can control other MIDI devices with my drums. So, if I set it up the right way, I can play one of my synthesizers by playing the drums.
Tony, the bald guy, is playing a Chapman Stick. It's a 10 or 12-stringed guitar on a stick. It's part bass, part guitar and part synthesizer. Half the strings are guitar, the other half are bass and, because it's MIDI, you can control a synthesizer plugged into it. Instead of making chords with one hand on the neck and strumming the strings with the other hand, you just tap the strings on the neck. So, you're basically playing bass and guitar at the same time.

@FunkyMonkee I've been away from them for almost 40 years. Was playing the night club/lounge circuit around the upper midwest for years with some private events, street festivals and full fledge concerts here and there. All my gear was stolen and couldn't afford to replace it back then. I miss it too.

I was with my band for 25 years. We just starting to get somewhere and were recording our 3rd album when we suddenly broke up. About 12 years later, my singer died so, that killed the possibly reunion. Then my guitarist died a couple years later.
I had my stage drums set up in my living room and even added a good bit to them. Last time I was on stage, it was a 10-piece set. It's now a 14-piece set. My V-Drums were set up in the basement. My greedy ex-sisters forced me out of my house in `19 and my drums have been in storage ever since. I've been living in my aunt's house ever since. She got involved with loads of scammers and mortgaged the house to give them more money and died a few weeks later sticking me with the mortgage bill that I can't afford to pay! If that wasn't an issue and I could get the family room half of the basement cleaned out, my stuff would be here and I could play drums any time I wanted!! But, as it is, I fear it'll take another few months to get it cleared out enough to bring them up.
