Would you ever keep a jumping spider or other insect as a pet?

There is a group on Facebook where people keep jumping spiders as pets. They feed them, let them crawl on them, and keep them in a cage. From what I have seen, they can be down right cute.

Unfortunately I'm too busy to own a pet, and another problem occurs when I go on vacation for I don't want to rely on other people to look after my pets.

But spiders and flies etc. are different and they look after themselves, so perhaps I just don't want a pet, or this type of pet, because they are unwelcome visitors, and I take them to the door when they enter my home uninvited.

I actually would! 🕷️ Jumping spiders are kind of adorable with their big eyes and curious movements. I’d totally keep one in a well-designed terrarium and probably end up sketching it a lot. Scorpions and other insects feel a bit more intense, though. I’d admire them in exhibits or documentaries rather than at home.
