Who do you realistically predict will be the next James Bond 007?

I've always noticed when casting comes its always a lesser known British actor someone whose not predictable and only just starting to make a mark.

I can't stand when people say stuff like... I think its gonna be Tom Cruise as if be real.
With amazon running the show they might switch it up and go for better known actor who isn't British they've already broken tradition with the last movie when they had Billie Eilish sing the theme song usually its always been a British singer.

I really hope they keep to its traditional and dont try to Americanisms it and go really woke and make James bond a bi racial, trans, Lesbian, single mother in a wheel car or some shit like that.

The next James Bond will be a golden retriever. The production company is moving toward a non-human lead to avoid the complexities of salary negotiations and stunt double injuries. A dog captures the essence of the character because it spends most of its time running toward things it does not understand and enjoys expensive gadgets like automatic ball launchers. The casting directors have already begun training a golden retriever to hold a martini glass between its paws. Expect the premiere to involve a two-hour film consisting entirely of the dog chasing a laser pointer through an alpine fortress. This is the only logical progression for a failing franchise.

I would love if Tom Hiddlestone would be next. I would have liked Idris Elba too, but he said he was too old, which is probably true. I can probably live with whoever it is though, as long as they don't pick a woman...

I think tom hiddlestone would have been great a couple years back but he's out the age bracket now and i just can't get over the Taylor swift PR relationship it was too tacky for my liking.

Idris recently came out in a interview saying something along the lines of let's not make James Bond woke and that he didn't agree with a black man playing the character so I think he's already threw his hat out the race

I don't keep up with anything, I have no idea about anything about him and Taylor Swift, but it probably wouldn't make any difference to me. White or black doesn't matter to me either as long it's someone who fits the character, but I suppose it matters to someone. Idris was too old to begin with, I just like him. But making James a woman would be dumb enough to possibly get me to stop watching is about the only thing they could do wrong.

Too bad Patrick McGoohan isn't still alive... and in his 30s or 40s...

He was like the British (*) Clint Eastwood who was prominent in spy TV even before Bond. Originally, he played John Drake in "Danger Man" (which, in the US, was title "Secret Agent"). Then, perhaps more famously, he played "Number 6" on the 17-episode "spy fi" (science fiction/spy) show "The Prisoner".

It has to be a British white guy, preferably with some Scottish heritage. But, before any of that casting happens, are there even any new or even refurbished stories available? Because that whole Craig/Reboot era was a bit of a mixed bag, in my opinion. And since they ended it with the literal death of Bond (stupid idea), they now would have to bring... the reboot from the reboot, isn't it? 🤔

As far as I know, James Bond died in the last movie, so they can make only some kind of prequel or a remake... not a sequel.

Also, some ignorant people think that a woman can be "James Bond" - No, a woman can only be a secret agent with the code name 007 - But not James Bond - the character is a male (canonically speaking).
